Job summary

CommonSpirit Memorial is seeking a Wound Ostomy Nurse to deliver specialized in-home care, connecting our hospital to the community and empowering patients to heal comfortably.

You will manage in-home visits, perform advanced care like PICC line care, wound vacs, and infusions, while educating patients and families on complex conditions and treatments. This role requires strong organization, independence, and commitment to patient engagement.

Qualifications

• RN with Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
• 2 years RN experience required.
• TN Registered Nurse license required at hire.
• Basic Life Support (CPR) certification required at hire.

Responsibilities

• Develops staff schedules and adjusts to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Assists Director with KRONOS and mileage requests.
• Organizes Wound Center supplies and arranges orders.
• Assists with orientation of new staff.
• Supports patient-specific needs in clinical care to maintain quality environment.
• Leads staff huddles and communicates important information.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Wound Ostomy Nurse, you will connect our hospital directly to the community, delivering specialized in-home care that empowers patients to heal comfortably and effectively.

Every day you will expertly manage in-home patient visits, performing advanced treatments like PICC line care, wound vacs, and infusions, while educating patients and families on complex conditions and treatments.

• Develops staff schedules and makes adjustments as needed to assure comprehensive patient care.
• Assists Director with KRONOS as needed including staff completion of Edit Logs and Mileage requests.
• Organizes and keeps track of Wound Center supplies; orders as needed.
• Assists with orientation of new staff.
• Assists with the special needs of each patient in the clinical setting to provide a quality patient care environment.
• Leads staff huddles and informs staff of pertinent information.
