Job summary

Bethany Rehabiitation and Health Care Center is seeking a Wound Nurse (RN) to provide comprehensive wound care within a senior community. The role includes assessing wounds, creating and implementing treatment plans, and monitoring for infections to ensure safe healing.

Candidates must hold an active RN license in Illinois and have at least one year of wound care and LTC/SNF/AL/MC experience, with excellent communication and a professional image. Tutera Group offers competitive pay and benefits.

• Active RN license in the state of practice (Illinois).
• Minimum of one year of wound care experience.
• Minimum one year of experience providing specialized treatments in LTC/SNF/AL/MC settings.

Responsibilities

• Assess wounds and wound healing progress; develop and implement treatment plans.
• Deliver safe, efficient, and effective wound care for surgical openings, ulcers, bed sores, feeding tube sites, abscesses.
• Monitor infections and signs of infection; perform wound cleansing as needed.

What Will You Do in This Role?

As a Wound Nurse | RN, you will be responsible for the community’s general application of the skin management program. You will also be responsible for delivering safe, efficient, and effective treatment to heal various types of wounds, including surgical openings, ulcers, bed sores, feeding tube sites, and abscesses. As a Wound Nurse, you will be required to assess wounds, create and implement treatment plans, monitor infections and signs of various infections, and clean wounds.

• Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state in which you are practicing
• Prior Wound Care experience required
• Minimum of one year of experience providing specialized treatments in a LTC/SNF/AL/MC setting required
• Professional image in both appearance and behavior
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
