Job summary

Autumn Lake Healthcare at Patuxent River is seeking a compassionate Wound Nurse to join our state-of-the-art nursing center near the University of Maryland Laurel Medical Center. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate wound care plans while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to improve residents' quality of life.

The role requires a Maryland RN license and at least 1 year of wound care experience.

Qualifications

• MD RN license is required.
• 1+ year wound nurse experience.
• Strong wound care knowledge.
• HIPAA confidentiality and patient privacy must be maintained.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate wound care plans for residents with complex wounds.
• Conduct regular wound assessments and document findings.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care team to develop and adjust care plans.
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on wound care techniques and prevention.
• Maintain accurate records of wound care treatments and resident progress.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to optimize wound care outcomes.

As a Wound Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality wound care services to our residents, ensuring they receive the best possible outcomes and improved quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate wound care treatment plans for residents with complex wounds
• Conduct regular wound assessments and document findings accurately and thoroughly
• Develop and implement individualized wound care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on wound care techniques and prevention strategies
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to optimize wound care outcomes
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of wound care treatments and resident progress

Requirements

• Current RN license in the state of Maryland
• 1+ year of experience as a Wound Nurse or in a similar role
• Strong knowledge of wound care principles and practices
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
