Job summary

Banner Health in Queen Creek, AZ is seeking a Registered Nurse Certified Specialist for our Wound Care-Hosp team. The role supports Banner Ironwood Medical Center with occasional float to Banner Goldfield, working Monday–Friday, days, 5-8s. Must have CWON and BLS, with a strong nursing background.

Responsibilities include developing patient care plans, providing specialty consultation, staff education, and collaborating with multiple disciplines to improve outcomes in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing or related field.
• Current RN license, BLS, and applicable state certification.
• 2–3 years of clinical specialty experience with strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Assess, develop, implement, and adjust patient care plans within wound/ostomy care.
• Provide specialty nursing consultation on complex cases and interventions.
• Serve as clinical resource to staff, patients, families, and teams.
• Identify staff development needs and provide education and training.
• Stay current on wound care developments and apply findings to practice.
• Collaborate across departments and external contacts to support patient care.
