Job summary

Dignity Health seeks a Wound Care Registered Nurse (RN) to provide direct nursing care in a skilled nursing setting and supervise nursing activities to maintain high-quality care and cost-effectiveness at Bruceville Terrace in Sacramento.

You will use unit-specific technology, follow established protocols, document accurately, and report any patient condition changes promptly to physicians and team members. A CA RN license and BLS are required, with at least one year in SNF/LTC preferred.

Qualifications

• One year of SNF/LTC experience in care of the aged, acutely ill, chronically ill, and patients in need of restorative care.
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of California
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification - American Heart Association
• Knowledge in the principles of nursing care within the RN, LVN and CNA scope of practice; working knowledge of Title 22, OBRA regulations and Joint Commission requirements

Responsibilities

• Utilizes technology, procedures, protocols, standards and interventions specific to assigned unit.
• Performs legible, timely, concise and accurate documentation.
• Communicates clearly using proper medical terminology and reports changes in patient condition promptly.
• Adheres to policies, procedures and standards in the delivery of medications and treatments as ordered by the Physician.
• Demonstrates ability to identify changes and abnormal signs and initiates prompt follow up with Physician and responsible party.
