Qualifications

• Two (2) years of recent Skilled Nursing experience, with one (1) of the two (2) years in a progressive leadership role.
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of California
• Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association

Responsibilities

• Provide direction and leadership, oversee day-to-day operations, and manage human resources for direct reports (LVNs, CNAs, and Unit Assistants).
• Develop innovative methods for performance improvement and ensure policy compliance; decide patient placement and care requirements.
• Lead and mentor a nursing team with strong gerontological and skilled nursing practice knowledge.
• Direct nursing practice and support the interdisciplinary team process.
• Create and maintain a professional environment that promotes recruitment and retention of qualified staff.
• Plan, direct and supervise nursing and healthcare services with an appropriate skill mix.
• Define job expectations and lines of authority; communicate standards of practice and serve as clinical resource.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing, therapy, and other services to manage care cost-effectively and with quality; participate in CQI projects.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Skilled Nursing Supervisor (RN), you will help the healthcare team at Bruceville Terrace foster a supportive, collaborative environment so they can meet the needs of residents, families, and physicians while delivering high-quality nursing services in a cost-effective manner.

• Every day you will provide direction and leadership, oversee day-to-day operations, and manage human resources for your direct reports (LVNs, CNAs, and Unit Assistants).
• You will be expected to develop innovative methods for performance improvement, ensure compliance with facility policies and regulations, and make decisions regarding patient placement and care requirements.
• To be successful in this role you will possess strong gerontological and skilled nursing practice knowledge and a proven ability to lead and mentor a nursing team.
• Effectively directs nursing practice and supports the interdisciplinary team process.
• Creates and maintains a professional environment that promotes recruitment and retention of qualified staff.

Job Requirements
