Job summary

CommonSpirit Health in California seeks an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in wound care to deliver individualized patient care and support recovery. You will assess, plan, and implement care, collaborating within an interdisciplinary team to optimize outcomes.

Ideal candidates hold ADN, CA RN license, CPR and ACLS credentials, and will obtain Certified Wound Care or WOC nurse certification upon hire.

Qualifications

• Clinical II or III RN with extensive wound care experience.
• Associate of Nursing (ADN) credential.
• Registered Nurse: CA license.
• Basic Life Support – CPR.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
• Certified Wound Care Nurse or Certified Wound Ostomy Nurse, upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess/interpret age-specific data.
• Involve patient/family in plan of care decisions.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate wound care.
• Document skin condition on progress notes and skin assessments.
• Observe wound care by other staff and provide education.
• Direct staff on wound care for residents.

• Observes the wound care of other nursing team members and assumes a resource and clinical education role.
• Gives direction to staff members related to the wound care of residents.
