Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Hyperbaric and Wound Care team at Southfork in St. Louis, MO. This full-time, day-shift role (Mon-Fri, 8:00 a.m.

- 4:30 p.m.) requires a minimum of 1 year of wound care experience and an active RN license (state or compact). Certification in Basic Life Support is required or obtained within 30 days of hire. As a Mercy clinician, you will apply the nursing process to deliver patient care, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and uphold patient

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program.
• Currently licensed as an RN in the hiring state or with compact licensure.
• Minimum 1 year wound care experience.
• Day shift 8:00am–4:30pm, Monday–Friday.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care using the nursing process and maintain accountability for care delivered.
• Coordinate patient care with other departments and ensure patient rights and confidentiality.
• Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by direct caregivers.
• Maintain alignment with Mercy mission, values, and service standards.

Overview: Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Qualifications:

Education: Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program

Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.

Physical requirements/demands

• Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties

Certifications

• Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.
