Job summary

Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Festus, MO, seeks a PRN RN Wound Care to provide specialized wound care in both inpatient and outpatient settings. You will perform wound assessments, plan treatments, apply advanced therapies, and educate patients to promote healing and prevent complications.

The role supports coordination with other departments, maintaining patient rights and confidentiality, and aligns with Mercy's mission and service standards. RN licensure and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Graduated from a school of nursing (associate's degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• Current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure.
• Wound Care experience preferred but not required.
• Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association (BLS) or completion within 30 days of hire.
• Wound Care certifications preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized wound care for patients in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Perform wound assessment and develop treatment plans.
• Apply advanced therapies and educate patients to promote healing and prevent complications.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure quality patient care and maintain patient rights and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

Provides specialized care for patients with acute and chronic wounds in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Responsibilities include wound assessment, treatment planning, application of advanced therapies, and patient education to promote healing and prevent complications.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (associate's degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• Licensure: Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
• Experience Preferred: Wound Care experience preferred but not required.
• Certifications:
• - Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.
• -Wound Care certifications preferred but not required.
