Job summary

HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital in Hudson, FL is hiring a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse to provide clinical expertise and deliver high-quality, efficient care in a Med/Surg setting. The role requires a Florida RN license (BSN preferred), current BLS certification, and prior acute care experience.

You will assess, plan, intervene and evaluate patient care, educate patients and families, maintain records, and administer medications as ordered.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as a Florida Registered Nurse or eligible for compact licensure.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Previous experience in an acute care setting strongly preferred.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification required.
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills; proficient with PCs.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, intervene and evaluate care for Med/Surg patients.
• Instruct patients and families on medications and treatment.
• Maintain and review patient records including tests and results.
• Administer medications in accordance with physician orders.
