Job summary

HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital in Hudson, FL is seeking a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse to provide clinical expertise and ensure high-quality patient care in a busy Med/Surg unit.

You will assess and plan patient care, educate patients on medications, maintain accurate records, and administer medications per orders. Florida RN licensure and BLS are required, with BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Must hold Florida RN license; active FL license within 60 days if compact.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Previous experience in an acute care setting strongly preferred.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication; ability to read/understand written instructions; PC skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, intervene and evaluate care for Med/Surg patients.
• Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions.
• Maintain and review patients’ records including posting tests and examination results.
• Administer medications in accordance with physician orders.
