Ciena Healthcare’s Regency at Westland is seeking a Wound Care Nurse to lead assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of wound care programs for residents in a skilled nursing setting.

The role ensures compliance with state and federal regulations, promotes skin health, and serves as a clinical resource for residents, families, and staff regarding wound prevention and management. CPR and wound care certification are required.

Qualifications

• At least two years' experience in wound care preferred.
• Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse with state licensure.
• Current CPR certification or CPR certification within 90 days of employment.
• Current Wound Care certification required.

Responsibilities

• Supervises treatment nurse per scope of practice.
• Plans, assigns, and directs work in alignment with resident needs and staff capabilities.
• Prepares work assignments, adjusting for staffing levels and resident safety.
• Receives staffing-related calls and arranges replacements as needed.
• Transfers employees among units per staffing demands.
• Completes performance evaluations and provides input on hiring, disciplining, or terminating staff.
• Adjusts break schedules and resolves staff concerns.
• Oversee unit operations during absence of higher-level management.
• Use independent judgment in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
