Job summary

AdventHealth in Shawnee, Kansas is seeking a registered nurse specialized in wound, ostomy, and continence care. You will serve as a care consultant, lead education and research programs, and collaborate with the healthcare team to improve patient outcomes through evidence-based practice.

This role requires a current RN license, BLS/CPR certification, and at least 1 year of acute hospital experience. A CWCN/CWOCN or APRN credential is preferred.

Qualifications

• RN license is required.
• BLS/CPR certification required.
• 1+ acute hospital experience required.
• CWCN/CWOCN credentials preferred.
• APRN credentials preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments for wound, ostomy, and continence care.
• Develop and document individualized care plans and maintain accurate records.
• Administer treatments and medications safely and monitor responses.
• Provide direct patient care including wound and ostomy management.
• Educate patients and families on wound care and continence strategies.
