MediLodge’s St. Clair facility seeks a Wound Care Registered Nurse to coordinate and provide comprehensive nursing care for residents, while guiding clinical staff on wound care practices. The role emphasizes patient-centered care and collaboration with physicians and team members.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Valid RN license in the state employed.
• Valid CPR certification.
• Two years nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate ostomy care for patients on units.
• Provide advanced clinical guidance to physicians and nursing staff for wound care, drainage, skin protection, and prevention of pressure injuries.
• Develop and conduct educational programs for staff.
• Determine appropriate nursing interventions for identified patient problems, symptoms, and teaching needs.
• Develop a patient care plan and determine equipment, materials, and resources needed to implement the plan.
• Select the stoma site prior to surgery based on anatomy, activity level, and lifestyle.
• Perform related responsibilities as required.
