Job summary

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs' Bronx VA Health Care System seeks a Registered Nurse to join the Wound Care Team intermittently at the Bronx campus.

The RN provides expert wound/skin care for Veterans on Med/Surg, SCI/D, and CLC units, focusing on pressure injury prevention, complex wounds, and moisture-related skin damage. Preferred BSN or wound care certification; incumbent will work with an interdisciplinary team to assess, treat, and monitor wound healing outcomes, while ensuring safety

Qualifications

• English Language Proficiency required.
• Graduate of an approved nursing program and RN license.
• State license active and unrestricted.
• Foreign education evaluated for equivalency if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide competent, evidence-based wound care to patients across units.
• Supervise/LPNs and nursing assistants as appropriate.
• Lead staff education, orientation, and competencies; contribute to quality improvement.
