Job summary

Valley Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for WV OP Wound Care on a part-time, first-shift basis. The RN will assess wound/ostomy/continence patients, document findings, input procedure charges, and apply dressings with evidence-based practices.

The role requires WV RN licensure, WOCN certification within 24 months, and BLS. BSN preferred, with a minimum of 5 years of RN experience and strong patient education skills.

Qualifications

• RN license in WV is required or eligible.
• Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nursing Certification within 24 months of hire.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association Healthcare Provider) required before orientation completion.

Responsibilities

• Assess wound, ostomy, continence patients and document findings.
• Input charges for procedures accurately in the medical record.
• Apply wound dressings and evaluate ostomies and appliances.
• Educate patient, family, and care team; collaborate on plan of care and discharge planning.
• Provide evidence-based guidance on complex wound care to peers and teams.
