Job summary

Covenant Living of Northbrook is seeking a Registered Nurse for a full-time day shift wound care role. This RN will provide direct resident care, supervise LPNs and CNAs, and monitor care plans within our skilled nursing environment, ensuring compliance with nursing standards and state regulations.

Ideal candidates hold an Illinois RN license, are graduates of an approved nursing program, and have at least one year of nursing experience.

Qualifications

Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
Current RN license in Illinois.
One year nursing experience.
Strong communication and compassionate patient care.

Responsibilities

Provide routine daily direction and monitor the work of the LPNs and nursing assistants on the unit.
Assist in the orientation of new nursing personnel and reinforce training standards.
Assist in motivating LPNs and CNAs assigned to the nursing unit.
Provide explanation of nursing procedures and assistance to staff to assure ongoing understanding and training.
Communicate with the Director of Nursing regarding assessments and concerns.
Observe and evaluate residents' health and report significant changes to appropriate staff and physicians.
