Job summary

Orchard View Post-Acute and Rehabilitation Center in Kingsport, TN is seeking a skilled Wound Care Nurse (RN) for day shift. You will assess, treat, and manage wounds for residents, collaborating with the nursing and medical teams to promote healing.

The ideal candidate holds an active Tennessee RN license; wound care certification is preferred. Experience in long-term care and strong communication with staff and residents are essential to deliver high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered RN license in Tennessee.
• Wound care certification (WCC, CWOCN) preferred.
• Long-term care/skilled nursing experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with older adults.

Responsibilities

• Assess, stage, and document wounds including pressure injuries and surgical wounds.
• Develop and implement individualized wound care plans with physicians and care team.
• Educate nursing staff on wound prevention and treatment practices.
• Monitor healing progress and adjust treatment as needed.
• Ensure documentation complies with regulations and policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
