Job summary

Meadville Medical Center in Meadville, PA seeks a Registered Nurse for the Wound Clinic (Dayshift, Full Time). This role provides specialized primary care for patients with skin integrity issues, educates patients and families, and collaborates with physicians and care teams to improve outcomes.

You will evaluate wound progression, develop care plans, document education, and participate in quality improvement while ensuring safe, cost-effective care and strong patient advocacy.

Qualifications

• Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice.
• Current BLS Healthcare Provider card required.
• Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience with direct hands on care of patients.
• Wound Specialist Certification required or commitment to acquire certification within two years of employment.
• Current State Nursing License.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with patients and health care teams.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates the quality and effectiveness of advanced wound care.
• Develops and implements comprehensive plans for assessing and improving care and patient satisfaction.
• Plans, implements, and documents health teaching with patients and families.
• Communicates with wound patients, families, and other health care providers.
• Collaborates with physicians to confer medical and nursing plans and advise on wound treatments.
• Performs patient consultations and education during visits and rounds.
