Job summary

UHS is seeking a Registered Nurse with a BSN to coordinate comprehensive wound assessments and plans of care across departments. You will educate patients, families, and staff on wound management and prevention of pressure injuries, while supporting physicians and the wound team.

The role emphasizes clinical nursing duties with supervision and participation in performance improvement initiatives within UHS and its subsidiaries. Requires strong collaboration and ongoing education efforts.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN.
Current state Registered Nurse Licensure.
Minimum of two (2) years experience in medical/surgical, rehabilitation nursing.
CWOCN or CWCN preferred.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

Coordinate wound assessment, reassessment and management for all patients per policy across populations.
Utilize wound management principles for acute and chronic wounds.
Develop skin-care programs to prevent skin breakdown of patients.
Act as a resource for physicians, wound team, and clinical staff.
