Job summary

Cherry Hill Free Clinic, Inc. seeks a Wound Care Registered Nurse to perform comprehensive wound assessments, develop treatment plans, and coordinate patient care across departments.

You will reassess wounds, educate patients and families, and support staff with wound management principles while participating in quality improvement initiatives. Candidates should hold an RN license, have at least two years in medical/surgical or rehabilitation nursing, and possess BLS certification; CWOCN/CWCN

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school with a current RN license.
• Minimum of two years experience in medical/surgical or rehabilitation nursing.
• Current BLS certification; CWOCN or CWCN preferred.
• Strong assessment skills and knowledge of wound management principles.
• Ability to develop skin care programs.

Responsibilities

• Perform wound assessments, reassessments, and management for diverse patient populations.
• Develop skin care programs to prevent skin breakdown and educate patients, families, and staff on wound management, pressure ulcer prevention, dressings, and therapies.
• Serve as a resource for physicians, wound teams, and clinical staff, providing expert guidance on wound care.
• Utilize current wound management theories and knowledge of anatomy and physiology related to dermal, gastrointestinal, and genitourinary systems.
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives and contribute to quality care delivery.

Job description
