Job summary

Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Wesley Chapel is seeking a Wound Program Coordinator to lead wound care services, coordinate interdisciplinary teams, and educate staff and patients. The role emphasizes adherence to regulatory standards and continuous advancement in wound care practices within an inpatient rehab setting.

The successful candidate will oversee program development, collaborate with clinicians, and drive hospital-wide wound care education initiatives to improve outcomes

Qualifications

• RN, PT, or OT license required for acute rehab hospitals; RN required for long-term acute care hospitals.
• CPR certification is mandatory.
• Minimum one year of wound care experience is required.
• Continuous education in wound care through seminars/professional organizations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and develop wound care services in adherence to regulatory standards and physician orders.
• Collaborate with clinical teams to provide guidance on wound care treatments.
• Lead educational efforts for hospital staff on wound care topics and educate patients and families.
• Maintain ongoing education and stay updated on latest wound care techniques and advancements.
