Job summary

Skilled Wound Care in Rockville, MD is seeking a Plastic Surgeon to lead wound care initiatives in skilled nursing facilities. The role offers a no-call weekday schedule and the opportunity to focus on wound healing and debridement without practice overhead.

Open to full- or part-time arrangements, with competitive earnings and a stable income. Candidates must hold an MD or DO, an unrestricted license in Maryland, and a DEA license or eligibility.

Qualifications

• Medical Degree: MD or DO from an accredited institution.
• Medical License: Unrestricted/clear medical license in the state of practice (or eligibility to obtain one).
• DEA License: Or eligibility to obtain one.
• Open Background: We welcome Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons and surgeons of all backgrounds; no previous wound care experience is required; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Surgical and sharp debridement and other bedside procedures.
• Evaluation and treatment of chronic, non-healing and complex wounds, including pressure injuries.
• Advanced dressings and specialized wound protocols.
• Collaborative care in skilled nursing facilities and the post-acute setting, where you follow patients through healing.
