Job summary

Skilled Wound Care is seeking a Wound Care Physician in Waco, TX to provide hands-on wound care with no-night, no-weekend scheduling options. Employment can be full-time or part-time, with per-patient and per-procedure pay and bonus opportunities.

Ideal candidates hold an MD or DO, possess an unrestricted license in Texas or eligibility, and will receive comprehensive wound care training. This is a non-academic practice focused on autonomy and patient outcomes.

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Unrestricted medical license in the practice state (or eligibility).
• DEA license or eligibility to obtain one.
• Open background; completion of residency and board certification are not required; wound care training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Surgical and sharp debridement and other bedside procedures
• Evaluation and treatment of chronic, non-healing and complex wounds
• Advanced dressings and specialized wound protocols
• Collaborative care in skilled nursing facilities and the post-acute setting, following patients through healing

• Full-Time Average Annual Earnings: $250,000 - $500,000 (no earning cap as an independent contractor)
• High Achievers: Top performers earn $500,000+ through performance bonuses

Wound Care Physician Schedule

We offer consistent weekday schedules with no nights or weekends, in part-time or full-time options:

Part-Time: 2–3 days per week

Full-Time: 4–5 days per week

Wound Care Physician Requirements

• Medical Degree: MD or DO from an accredited institution
• Medical License: Unrestricted/clear medical license in the state of practice (or eligibility to obtain one)
• DEA License: Or eligibility to obtain one
• Open Background: We welcome physicians from all specialties. Completed residency and board certification/eligibility are not required. No previous wound care or procedural experience is required; we provide comprehensive wound care training
