Qualifications

• Must graduate from a WOCN-accredited ET nursing program or be willing to complete within one year of hire.
• BSN required.
• Minimum two years of nursing experience in related specialty.
• Current RN license (Nebraska or multi-state) and BLS/CPR as per policy (BLS preferred at hire, required within 3 months).

Responsibilities

• Provide age-appropriate care per Population Specific Criteria and ensure patient understanding of treatment.
• Perform initial and ongoing assessments; use findings for discharge planning.
• Develop/review and revise individualized care plans; collaborate with providers and other disciplines.
• Implement interventions per established plan of care and follow nursing protocols; ensure safe practice.
• Evaluate patient outcomes and document responses to interventions; communicate changes during handoffs.
• Maintain professional demeanor and effective communication with the care team, patients, and families.
• Initiate actions to correct risks; follow state Nurse Practice Act; handle hazardous medications safely.
• Review, delegate, and evaluate staff utilization per standards; provide education and supervision.
• Participate in cost-conscious care and resource management; ensure accurate documentation.
