Job summary

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a Registered Nurse - Wound Care RN to provide specialized wound consultation and coordinate with providers and the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans across the continuum of care.

The role emphasizes leadership in wound management, collaboration with interprofessional teams, and active participation in education and quality improvement initiatives within VA facilities.

Qualifications

• Current, full, active, and unrestricted RN license in a U.S. state or DC.
• BSN or higher degree; MSN/ACEN/CCNE accreditation preferred.
• Experience in wound care and ostomy care; ability to contribute to program development and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct wound care and consultation across the continuum of care.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Educate staff and patients on wound care strategies and safety practices.
• Collaborate with quality improvement teams to monitor wound-related outcomes.
• Administer medications and procedures per policies and guidelines.
• Lead in wound care best practices and participate in program development and evaluation.
