Job summary

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a Wound Care Registered Nurse to provide leadership in managing complex wound care patients. The role requires a current RN license, and a nursing degree path from ADN/ Diploma to BSN and possibly MSN, with state licensure to practice.

Responsibilities include assessment, care coordination, education, and policy contribution within a team-based VA setting. Weekdays, on-site duties with potential for professional development."

Qualifications

• Current, full, active, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in any US state (or DC)
• English language proficiency as per 38 U.S.C. 7403(f)
• Graduate of an approved nursing program (ACEN/CCNE) or equivalent
• License/education pathway for bridge programs and licensure

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for wound care patients
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team to improve patient outcomes
• Administer medications and procedures per policies
• Lead and educate care teams with patient education and self-management
• Contribute to policy and guideline development and revision
