Job summary

Optalis Healthcare (Health & Rehabilitation Centers) seeks an experienced Wound Nurse to coordinate wound care services and provide expert nursing care for patients with acute and chronic wounds.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, mentor staff on wound care protocols, and stay current with advances in wound care to ensure optimal patient outcomes while maintaining regulatory compliance and thorough documentation.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state.
• Wound care certification preferred.
• Minimum 3 years nursing experience, with at least 1 year in wound care.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Proficient in electronic medical records (EMR) and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate wound care plans.
• Coordinate wound care across departments and with external providers.
• Provide direct nursing care and education to patients and families.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans.
• Maintain documentation of wound assessments, treatments, and outcomes.
• Mentor nursing staff on wound care best practices and protocols.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Stay current with advances in wound care techniques, products, and research.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and facility policies.
