Sun Health is seeking a Wound Care Nurse to join our caring team in Sun City, AZ. You will provide specialized wound assessment, treatment, and management for residents in a skilled nursing setting, including pressure injuries and ulcers. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team and educate staff and families on best practices.

Requirements include a current AZ LPN/RN license, CPR, and experience in wound care; WCC/CWCN/WOCN certification is preferred. Fingerprint clearance is required.

Qualifikationen

• Current, unencumbered LPN or RN license in Arizona.
• Wound Care Certification (WCC, CWCN, or WOCN) preferred.
• Minimum 1–2 years of nursing experience; wound care or skilled nursing/long-term care preferred.
• Demonstrated experience managing complex wound care cases in a healthcare setting.
• CPR certification required; Fingerprint Clearance Card required.

Aufgaben

• Conduct comprehensive wound assessments for residents with pressure injuries and ulcers and determine treatment interventions.
• Perform wound care procedures including debridement and dressing changes per physician orders.
• Monitor healing progress and adjust plans; escalate to physician as needed.
• Identify residents at risk for skin breakdown and implement preventive measures.
• Educate residents and families on wound prevention and care best practices.
