Pinewood Health and Rehabilitation is seeking a dedicated Wound Care Nurse (RN or LPN) to assess, treat, and manage wounds for our residents. You will guide nursing teams to achieve optimal outcomes and ensure high-quality care in a long-term care setting.

The role emphasizes wound assessments, evidence-based treatments, and collaboration with physicians and staff to promote residents’ health and well-being.

Qualifications

• Active RN or LPN license in good standing.
• Experience in wound care or long-term care is preferred.
• Strong clinical judgment and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform wound assessments and assess infection risk.
• Monitor wound progress and update care plans.
• Identify and manage wound complications.
• Apply appropriate dressings and therapies.
• Manage patient pain related to wounds.
• Educate patients and families on wound care.
• Coordinate with physicians and nursing team.
• Identify preventive factors for wound formation.
• Maintain accurate medical records per standards.
• Follow infection control protocols and stay updated.
• Participate in ongoing wound care education.
