Job summary

Recover-Care seeks a Wound Care Nurse Coordinator to oversee the center's wound team and skin management program. You will coordinate rounds, review treatment plans, and ensure documented physician orders and data collection.

Ideal candidates hold RN or LPN licensure in the state, with preferred wound nurse and infection preventionist certifications and at least one year of nursing management experience.

Qualifications

• Licensed RN or LPN in good standing in the state.
• Preferred wound nurse certification and infection preventionist certification.
• Minimum one year of nursing management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify and maintain effective methods to gather pressure ulcer and skin alteration related information.
• Coordinate and lead weekly wound team rounds and care planning.
• Review interdisciplinary care plans, orders and documentation.
• Collect, analyze and provide pressure ulcer information to staff and practitioners.

Job description

As the wound care nurse you are designated to act as the coordinator of the center’s wound team to oversee the general application of the skin management program. The following activities are performed as directed or clinically indicated.

GENERAL DUTIES

• Identify and maintain effective methods to gather pressure ulcer and skin alteration related information
• Coordinate and lead weekly wound team rounds and processes, including rounds, measurements, interdisciplinary care plan review, treatment recommendations, physician orders, and required documentation
• Collect, analyze and provide pressure ulcer information to nursing staff and other healthcare practitioners

QUALIFICATIONS

• Currently licensed as RN or LPN in state
• Prefer wound nurse certified and infection preventionist certified
• One-year prior nursing management experience preferred.
