Schervier Rehab and Nursing Center in Bronx, NY is seeking a dedicated Wound Care Nurse (RN) to join our skilled nursing team. You will assess wounds, plan treatments, and document care per physician orders, ensuring high-quality outcomes and family communication.

Ideal candidates are NY-licensed RNs with wound care experience; WCC certification is preferred. Strong assessment and collaboration with the care team are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in New York State.
• Prior wound care experience required (WCC certification preferred).
• Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills.
• Compassionate and professional demeanor with a commitment to quality care.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive wound assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide and document wound care treatments per physician orders and facility protocols.
• Monitor wound healing progress and communicate updates to physicians and families.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure continuity of care.
• Educate nursing staff on wound prevention, care techniques, and infection control practices.
• Maintain compliance with all regulatory standards and facility policies.
