Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - Nashville is a critical illness recovery hospital delivering world-class inpatient post-ICU care for chronically ill patients. The Wound Care Nurse (RN) will perform hands-on wound care, lead weekly multidisciplinary rounds, and uphold skin preservation protocols in collaboration with the medical staff.

The role requires an ADN, RN license, and BLS, with wound care training within 90 days.

Qualifications

• AD required.
• One year of related nursing experience.
• Valid State RN License.
• BLS certification by start date.
• Wound care training to be completed within 90 days in role.

Responsibilities

• Preserve skin integrity and implement skin preservation strategies.
• Ensure wound and skin care protocols are approved by medical staff.
• Organize multidisciplinary wound and skin rounds weekly for high-risk or existing wounds.
• Provide hands-on wound care for difficult and non-healing wounds.
• Serve as a resource to hospital staff on wound and skin care issues.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

• AD (Associate's degree in Nursing) required.
• One (1) year of related experience required.
• Valid State RN License.
• Possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
• Must complete wound care training in the first 90 days in the role.

Preferred Qualifications

• BSN preferred.
