Ideal candidates hold an MSN with NP specialization, WCNP certification (or willingness to obtain), TX NP license, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing with Nurse Practitioner specialization.
• Current state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Certification as a Wound Care Nurse Practitioner (WCNP) or willingness to obtain.
• Prior experience in orthopedic wound care preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive wound assessments for orthopedic patients and develop evidence-based wound care plans.
• Monitor wound progress, document changes, and adjust treatment plans; administer wound care procedures including debridement and dressing changes.
• Collaborate with orthopedic surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
• Educate healthcare team and patients on wound care techniques and adherence to plans.
• Maintain thorough electronic health records and ensure regulatory compliance.
