Medical Director Services is seeking a Wound Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to service multiple skilled nursing facilities in Springfield, MO. This role offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience.

You will manage wounds, admissions, and coordinate care with a multidisciplinary team while maintaining infection-control standards and resident confidentiality. Ideal candidates hold an active NP or PA license, are certified in wound care/ostomy, and have solid MS Office

Qualifications

• Current State NP/PA license required.
• Long-Term Care experience preferred.
• Wound and ostomy certification required.
• Strong computer skills and MS Office knowledge.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage all wounds in facility, including cleaning and dressing.
• Complete admission paperwork for new residents.
• Provide advice and support to residents and families.
• Monitor residents and administer medications and treatments.
• Document care in resident and department records.
• Uphold infection-control policies to protect residents and staff.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to address needs.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information.
• Track infection control and report monthly.
• Ensure quality of care aligns with facility standards.

Duties:

• Responsible for all open wounds in the facility- including cleaning and dressing
• Responsible for completing admission paperwork
• Providing advice & support to the Residents and their families
• Monitoring Residents and administering medication and treatments
• Documenting Resident care services by charting in Resident & dept. records
• Protecting Residents & staff by adhering to infection-control policies & protocols
• Resolving Resident problems & needs by utilizing multidisciplinary team strategies
• Assuring quality of care by adhering to Facility philosophies & standards of care
• Maintaining Resident confidence by keeping information confidential
• Tracking of infection control
• Monitoring and reporting, including monthly reports

Requirements:

• Current State NP/PA License
• Long-Term Care Experience Preferred
• Must be wound and ostomy certified
• Solid computer skills; working knowledge of MS Office
• Excellent communication skills
• Friendly and a team worker
