Korzen Health seeks a part-time Wound Care Nurse Practitioner for our Wound Care Center in Durango, CO, collaborating with Healogics and Mercy RMC. The role focuses on procedural wound care with no nights or weekends, Fridays plus PRN, and includes access to HBO therapy training.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of NP procedural experience, suturing, I&D, debridement skills, and an active license with a DEA registration. Training and mentorship are provided.

Qualifications

• Must hold a DEA license for prescriptive authority.

Responsibilities

• Provide procedural wound care in a dedicated outpatient center.
• Operate with a fixed schedule: Fridays 1 day/week plus PRN, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, Monday–Friday operations.
• Collaborate with Healogics and Mercy RMC; engage in wound care therapies and infection management.
• Participate in ongoing training, HBO therapy, and mentorship programs.

Job description

Korzen Health seeks a part-time Wound Care Nurse Practitioner available 1 days/week(Friday) plus PRNto our Wound Care Center in the Durango, CO in collaboration with Healogics and Mercy RMC.

For over 25 years, Healogics has been treating patients with chronic wounds from over 600 hospital-based wound care centers across the country. Currently, Healogics treats over 300,000 wound care patients annually and has healed nearly 4 million wounds. Healogics is the world's leading expert in wound healing.

This position is based in our outpatient wound care clinic and is exclusively dedicated to procedural wound care. Our center operating hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with no nights, on-call duties, or weekend work. All patients are seen by appointment only; walk-ins are not accepted. The clinic is integrated with Mercy RMC, and the candidate will be employed by Healogics.

This is a procedure-oriented environment primarily serving geriatric patients. The successful candidate must possess at least 1 year of procedural background. Experience with minor procedures such as suturing, debridement, and/or incision and drainage (I&D) is required, and procedural case logs will be requested as part of the credentialing process. Other types of non-dermatological procedural experience may also be acceptable on a case-by-case basis.

Wound Care and Hyperbaric Oxygen (HBO) Therapy training are available. A full clinical team will be in place from the start date.

Scope of Practice Highlights

• Full Team support includes Case Manager, Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Nurses, Office Manager, and Front/Back End Support
• We offer advanced wound-care treatments to promote healing, including: cellulitis therapy, compression therapy, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, infection management and prevention, wound cleaning, and wound dressing
• Our Center standard operating hours are Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM. There are no night shifts, on-call responsibilities, or weekend hours.

• A full 40 hour HBO training program, 3 Day Wound Care and Mentorship will be provided. Training will be paid to the provider

Experience Requirements

• Clean and Active State license
• Must be a Certified Nurse Practitioner
• DEA License
• Minimum of 1 year of NP experience is a must
• Must have procedural experience - simple sutures, I&D's, debridements...
