Job summary

HR NOW (2) in Hickory, NC seeks a Wound Care Nurse (RN/LPN) for a full-time role in a skilled nursing facility. You will assess, treat, and manage wounds, develop care plans with the healthcare team, and promote best practices in wound prevention and patient care.

The ideal candidate holds an active NC or compact RN/LPN license; WCC/CWON/CWOCN certification is preferred. Experience in wound care or long-term/acute care is desirable, with strong teamwork and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Active RN or LPN license in NC or compact.
• Wound care certification preferred (WCC/CWON/CWOCN).
• Experience in wound care, long-term or acute care preferred.
• Strong assessment, communication, and critical-thinking skills.
• Team-oriented with ability to collaborate with care teams.

Responsibilities

• Assess, treat, and monitor wounds, ulcers, and skin conditions.
• Develop and implement wound care plans with the healthcare team.
• Educate staff, patients, and families on wound prevention and care.
• Administer treatments, dressings, and interventions as prescribed.
• Maintain accurate documentation of wound care procedures and progress.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams for outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and infection control guidelines.
