Job summary

Mountain Ridge Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Black Mountain, NC is seeking a Wound Nurse to provide specialized skin care, perform wound treatments, and coordinate treatment plans with physicians. You will audit new admissions, update skin sheets, and guide CNAs in care delivery.

The role requires active NC RN or LPN licensure, CPR certification, and a focus on wound care. This is a full-time position with competitive benefits and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Active license to practice as RN or LPN in NC.
• Active CPR certification.
• Wound care certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete a Head-to-Toe audit on new admissions to identify all open areas.
• Review residents with new skin alterations and implement skin care plans and orders.
• Update skin sheets every 7 days.
• Assist with new admissions and re-admissions as directed.
• Collaborate with Nursing on assessments and plan skin care treatments.
• Initiate requests for consultation or referral as needed.
• Assess residents and determine when physician evaluation is required.
• May act as a Unit Nurse when directed.
• Supervise CNAs and verify completion of assigned tasks.
