Ashland Nursing and Rehabilitation seeks a qualified Wound Care Nurse (RN or LPN) to join our skilled team. You will provide high-quality wound management, assess and treat residents, and collaborate with physicians to promote healing.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing school – RN or LPN with active licensure to practice in the state of employment.
• Wound Care Certification – Current Wound Care Certification required, with CPR certification.
• A minimum of 1 year of wound care experience (preferably 2 years) in a healthcare setting.
• Passion for Patient Care – Must be compassionate, detail-oriented, and dedicated to providing the best care for residents.
• Strong Communication Skills – Ability to collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teams effectively.
• Knowledge of Regulatory Standards – Familiarity with corporate and external regulatory guidelines related to wound care and healthcare practices.

Responsibilities

• Liaise between wound physician and nursing staff to ensure seamless communication and care coordination.
• Contribute to wound care program development aligned with regulations and best practices.
• Lead educational programs to enhance wound care knowledge among staff.
• Assist in implementing wound care policies and procedures to meet regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to support effective wound healing.
• Assess, treat, and monitor residents' wounds as directed, ensuring care and comfort.
• Assist in creating individualized treatment plans for residents.
• Maintain ongoing communication with physicians for resident care updates.
• Support regulatory compliance during surveys and inspections.
• Identify opportunities to improve wound care systems and outcomes.
