Job summary

Avir at Bandera in Helotes, Texas is seeking a qualified Wound Care Nurse to join our care team. You will maintain skin integrity, administer physician-prescribed treatments, and document care in line with professional standards to support residents and patients.

The ideal candidate holds a valid Texas RN license with CPR certification, has at least one year of wound care experience in healthcare settings, and is committed to infection control and compliance with long-term care regulations.

Qualifications

Must have valid Texas nursing license.
CPR certification required.
Minimum 1 year wound care experience in hospital/ SNF or related setting.
Infection control knowledge and adherence to long-term care standards.

Responsibilities

Maintain skin integrity and promote wound healing through assessment, treatment, and documentation.
Administer physician-prescribed treatments and medications as ordered.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to implement comprehensive care plans.
Educate residents, patients, and families on wound care and prevention.
Maintain accurate records of patient care and treatment plans.
