Job summary
CareMed Health Solutions seeks a Wound Care Nurse Practitioner to deliver wound care to residents in long-term care facilities in Arkansas. You will diagnose, treat, and manage chronic wounds, working with an interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal outcomes.
Requirements include an unrestricted Arkansas NP license, board certification, and strong wound care experience. DEA license is optional. Benefits include malpractice coverage, CE credits, and a $5,000 sign-on bonus.
Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted NP license in Arkansas.
- Board Certification.
- DEA licensure (Optional).
- Clinical background in adult, family, or geriatric specialties.
- Clinical background of wound care; including chronic, debilitating, stalled, or infected wounds.
Responsibilities
- Provide wound care services for long-term care patients in skilled nursing facilities.
- Prescribe medications, including controlled substances, per AR law.
- Order and review treatments and diagnostic tests; follow-up as needed.
- Communicate with nursing home staff regularly about changes in condition and care plan.
- Collaborate with the primary care physician.
