Job summary

CareMed seeks a Wound Care Nurse Practitioner to deliver wound care in long-term care facilities. The NP will diagnose and treat wounds, prescribe medications (including controlled substances per AR law), and coordinate care with the facility staff.

Applicants must hold an Arkansas NP license with board certification. DEA licensure is optional, and a background in wound care and geriatric patients is highly valued.

Qualifications

Current, unrestricted NP license in Arkansas.
Board Certification in a relevant NP specialty.
DEA licensure is optional but preferred.
Clinical background in adult, family, or geriatric care.
Experience with wound care and chronic wounds.

Responsibilities

Provide wound care services for long-term care patients in skilled nursing facilities.
Prescribe medications in accordance with Arkansas law.
Order and follow up on treatments and diagnostic tests.
Communicate with nursing home staff about changes in condition and care plans.
Collaborate with primary care physicians as part of an interdisciplinary team.
