Job summary

Orchard Valley Health and Rehabilitation is seeking a Wound Nurse to provide nursing care to residents as prescribed by physicians and per nursing standards. The role includes preventive skin care, wound management, turning and positioning, and collaborating with physicians and families.

Ideal candidates hold an active RN or LPN license in Tennessee with 1–3 years of relevant experience, CPR certification, and strong assessment and documentation skills.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse with current state license.
• 1 to 3 years related nursing experience.
• Current/active CPR certification required.
• Excellent technical, assessment, and documentation skills.
• Customer service oriented with the ability to work well under pressure.
• Able to function independently with flexibility and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to residents as prescribed by the physician and as directed by the Director of Nursing.
• Perform preventive skin care, dressing changes, and wound care.
• Monitor turning and positioning of residents.
• Communicate with physician and family about treatment of wounds.
• Make rounds with physician as needed to discuss resident care.
• Assess nutrition/hydration with ulcers; initiate additional intake as required.
• Maintain clean treatment areas and restock supplies.
• Follow Infection Control policies and procedures.
• Attend to other duties as assigned.
