Job summary

NRMC in Natchitoches, LA is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse for the Wound Care Clinic. You will perform wound care, assist with patient care, and follow care protocols under RN or physician direction. Ongoing education and competency in BLS and infection control are required.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree from an accredited nursing school.
• Current license in the state of practice.
• Minimum two years’ experience as LPN.
• Minimum one year experience in acute care setting.
• Maintains BLS credentialing and unit competencies.
• Completes Diversified Basic Wound Care Course within six months.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside patient care and implement interventions identified in the plan of care as directed by RN.
• Demonstrate commitment to NRMC Standards of Behavior.
• Ensure availability of necessary equipment and supplies.
• Communicate with team members and physicians to ensure quality of care.
• Maintain competency in BLS, infection control, safety, and unit skills.
