Natchitoches Regional Medical Center in Louisiana seeks an Licensed Practical Nurse to assist Physicians, NPs, and RNs in a specialty care clinic. You may supervise unlicensed staff, maintain patient records, and support continuity of care within the family practice setting.

The role involves preparing exam rooms, performing venipuncture, basic clinical tasks, patient teaching, and coordination of referrals, with a focus on safe, compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited LPN program.
• Current LPN licensure in the State of Louisiana.
• Current BCLS certification.
• Minimum of six months to one year's work experience.

Responsabilités

• Assist with opening clinic and ensure readiness for daily activities.
• Prepare patient examination rooms and laboratories for daily activity.
• Conduct quality checks on laboratory test equipment.
• Collect laboratory specimens including venipuncture and prepare for shipment.
• Perform CLIA waived lab procedures.
• Enter orders into Meditech.
• Record patient vital signs and assist with assessment and teaching.
• Set up patient in examination room for Practitioner.
• Document presenting problems, medications, and allergies.
• Assist Practitioner with examinations or procedures and ensure orders are recorded.
• Prepare procedure trays as needed.
• Administer prescribed medications within LPN scope.
• Clean and restock examination rooms between patients.
• Assist with calls, prescriptions, lab results, and referrals.
