Job Summary

Under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, the LVN provides nursing care within the scope of licensure for assigned patients, following established standards and hospital policies.

Essential Functions

• Administer medication, perform treatments, and care responsibilities as prescribed under supervision.
• Consult with and inform the RN of patient activities, symptoms, reactions, and changes.
• Provide pain management and educate patients and families about pain management.
• Administer medication following the five rights within scope of practice.
• Assist with rehabilitation and treatment plans, updating as directed by the RN.
• Assist physicians with examinations, treatments, and procedures, performing technical and manual skills as directed.
• Treat patients and families with respect and dignity, addressing psychosocial, cultural, ethnic, and spiritual needs.
• Interact professionally with patients and families, involving them in care planning.
• Assist with admitting, discharging, and transferring patients.
• Identify and address psychosocial needs, communicating with Social Services/Discharge Planner regarding in-hospital and post-discharge needs.

$8,000 Sign-on Bonus

Salary Range: $21 - $26 per hour
