Job summary

Skilled Wound Care in Los Angeles, CA is seeking Internal Medicine Physicians to lead wound care initiatives in skilled nursing facilities across the area. This full-time or part-time role emphasizes non-call, Monday–Friday schedules with a focus on clinical autonomy and advanced wound management.

Physicians with an MD or DO and an unrestricted license (or eligibility) will provide debridement, manage chronic wounds, and coordinate care with post-acute facilities.

Qualifications

• Medical Degree: MD or DO from an accredited institution.
• Medical License: Unrestricted/clear medical license in the state of practice (or eligibility to obtain one)
• DEA License: Or eligibility to obtain one
• Open Background: We welcome Internal Medicine physicians and hospitalists, as well as Family Medicine physicians and surgeons of all backgrounds. No previous wound care or procedural experience is required; we provide comprehensive wound care training

Responsibilities

• Surgical debridement and other bedside procedures
• Evaluation and treatment of chronic, non-healing and complex wounds
• Management of the underlying conditions that affect wound healing
• Advanced dressings and specialized wound protocols
• Collaborative care in skilled nursing facilities and the post-acute setting, where you follow patients through healing
