Job summary

Vanderbilt University Medical Center’s Outpatient Wound Center seeks a Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Nurse to provide HBOT under supervision, operate a monoplace chamber, monitor patient response, and uphold safety standards. The role supports the wound care team with comprehensive nursing care.

You will deliver pre/post dive care, document thoroughly, educate patients and families, and ensure adherence to UHMS standards while maintaining equipment readiness.

Qualifications

• RN licensure and nursing degree.
• Provide HBOT under physician/APP supervision.
• Operate monoplace HBOT chamber and monitor therapy.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates in plan of care and coordinates care delivery.
• Assesses patient information to determine nursing diagnoses.
• Monitors patient progress and intervenes as needed.
• Perform pre- and post-dive care including wound care.
• Document all care according to policy.
• Provide patient/family education and materials.
