Job summary

National Wound Physician Group in Abingdon, VA is seeking a full-time General Surgeon to provide bedside wound care in post-acute settings. You will conduct weekly rounds, visit multiple facilities within a 40–60 mile radius, and manage ~20–30 patients per day.

The role emphasizes autonomy with no call or weekend duties, a typical 7am–4pm schedule (4–5 days) or 4 days with flexible hours, and participation in paid training and a 6‑month wound care fellowship.

Qualifications

• Active unrestricted MD/DO license in the practicing state.
• Minimum commitment of 3 weekdays per week.

Responsibilities

• Deliver bedside wound care in post-acute settings (Skilled Nursing Facilities and LTAC Hospitals).
• Conduct weekly wound rounds at each facility.
• Visit facilities within a 40–60 mile radius, delivering care to 20–30 patients per day.
