Job summary

Avantara Palos Heights is seeking a Wound Care Coordinator RN to join our caring team in Palos Heights, IL. You will oversee the wound care team, coordinate resident care, and work under Nursing leadership to ensure high-quality wound management.

The ideal candidate holds an Illinois RN license, CPR, and preferably a Wound Care certification, with at least 2 years of wound care experience. We offer competitive benefits and opportunities for growth within the facility.

As a Wound Care Coordinator you are instrumental in improving the lives of our residents. Your work will ensure our residents receive the high standard of care they have grown to expect at Avantara Palos Heights by providing support to the Treatment Doctor and overseeing the wound care team, assisting the patients with the delivery of wound care services under the supervision of the Director of Nursing and Assistant Director of Nursing, with lifting, turning and repositioning of residents during the delivery of wound care, observing changes in condition, ensuring a safe environment and maintaining education. Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure they are comfortable and safe.

To be eligible for consideration applicants should have:

• At a minimum, an unencumbered State of Illinois Registered Nurse (RN);

• C.P.R. certification;

• Wound Care certification preferred, but a minimum of 2 (two) years of experience in wound care treatment is acceptable.
